The murk
The cloud came closer and closer. As it swallowed us, the wind died and we were lost in a damp, drizzling fog. For the rest of the day and most of the night we took turns staring off into the darkness and listening intently for approaching boats. As the hours passed, we gained a greater appreciation for the benefits of radar.
